Stainless Steel 304
304 stainless steel is the most common form of stainless steel used around the world due to excellent corrosion resistance and value. 304 can withstand corrosion from most oxidizing acids. That durability makes 304 easy to sanitize, and therefore ideal for pro-style dumbbells. At Hantlar, 304 Stainless steel is the most popular and widely used material. We manufacture pro-style SDH (standard dumbbell handles), pro-style weight plates, pro-style end-caps and pro-style dumbbell bolts from Stainless steel 304.
Stainless Steel 316
Grade 316 Stainless steel has a better resistance to chemicals and chlorides (like salt) than grade 304 stainless steel. Therefore, 316 Stainless steel is used in our marine grade pro-style dumbbells. Ideal for applications on the sea – yachts/cruises, beach gyms or for sea facing properties. Copper

Copper and its alloys are characterized by their high ductility and comparatively high strength. This combination, as well as other typical copper properties such as conductivity, corrosion resistance, machinability, and classic charm makes copper the choice of material for our pro-style dumbbell handles. Handles made from copper are knurled in a wide and deep volcano knurling pattern which provides the perfect grip without hurting. Copper also looks great with its natural reddish brown color and we feel it is a good luck charm. Copper is said to attract good luck and money. Brass
Brass is an alloy of copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn), in proportions which can be varied to achieve different mechanical, electrical, and chemical properties. Similar to copper, brass is a poor breeding ground for bacteria. Beyond its antimicrobial properties, brass’s aesthetic value makes it a popular choice for decorative applications. Our end caps undergo a 6 step polishing process which makes our brass end caps shine like gold when they are new. With time, they look classic pale yellow and blend beautifully with our stainless steel weight plates. These qualities of brass makes it an ideal material for pro-style dumbbells.
